The Engineering of Theatre
Summer 2025
Engineering meaningful stories through theatre technology.
Theatre, like so many other arts, relies on technology. And technology also realizes its full potential while interacting with the arts.
This course is an exploration of the first part of this equation. Together we will explore the basic facets of theatre - acting, writing, and stage design - and the increasing role that technology plays in each of these areas.
We will end the course by engineering a theatre project of our own which integrates emerging and existing stage technologies.
