This exciting summer experience is about more than what goes on in the classroom. It is about providing a place to explore interests – old and new – while meeting new people and broadening horizons. From learning to live with a roommate to strengthening resumes or college applications, students will walk away from a summer on the bluff feeling better prepared to enter the 4-year university environment.

What Makes LMU Pre-College Programs Special?
Our pre-college programs are designed to provide a unique opportunity for high-achieving high school students to learn at an undergraduate level without the pressure of credit hours. We believe this format, which places an emphasis on an education of the whole person rather than a final grade, will help our students to become more confident in an exploration of their academic endeavors and provide this eager population with the tools they need to be successful in college and beyond.
Your Summer Starts Here
One of the many benefits to spending a summer on the bluff is our proximity to one of the most creative, dynamic and culturally rich cities in the nation. Our unique location on the bluffs above Los Angeles gives us the distinction of being one of the most beautiful universities in California. Set in a peaceful residential neighborhood, LMU is a secure and safe place to stay with easy access to the exciting educational, co-curricular, and extra-curricular opportunities of Silicon Beach and the nearby city.
Summer at a Glance
LMU Summer Programs is designed to provide a transformative pre-college experience to a selective group of boldly imaginative high school participants. Our applicants, who come from across the country and around the world, seek not only an advanced educational summer activity, but are driven by the pursuit of a life of purpose. In following with our Jesuit Catholic identity, we encourage participants in their pursuit of 'the magis' - a philosophy that inspires a relentless desire to do better, no matter the passion that drives you.
