The Art of the Podcast
Summer 2027
Session Dates: July 5 - July 16, 2027
Guiding the next generation of creators from first recording to published podcast.
Course Description
Have you ever wondered how your favorite podcasts hook listeners and tell compelling stories? In this hands-on course, you will learn how to create professional-quality podcasts from the ground up. Through recording, interviewing, sound design, storytelling, and digital editing, you will develop the skills needed to produce engaging audio content.
Along the way, we will explore how sound influences culture, identity, and communication by listening to popular podcasts, learning about audio journalism, and discussing the politics of representation in digital media.
Working collaboratively in small production teams, you'll design, produce, and publish an original podcast, and you will build a portfolio of creative work that demonstrates both your technical abilities and your unique voice as a storyteller.
