Business as a Force for Good
Summer 2027
Session Dates: June 20- July 2, 2027
Turning bold ideas into business solutions that make a difference.
Course Description
This pre-college program is perfect for students who want to make a difference in the world, learning the many ways business can be effectively designed for impact.
Under the guidance of LMU College of Business Administration (CBA) faculty, participants will examine important social and environmental needs, identify the role of leadership and vision driving business responses for impact and design effective business solutions to meet these needs.
Students will develop skills through projects and presentations, designing business applications that are a force for good. Case studies, group work and site visits help students develop skills of goal setting, analysis, and business application for positive impact. The course will culminate in a student team case presentation, identifying a positive business idea, showing how it is workable financially, legally and ethically and advocating for it as a business opportunity.
