Producing and Screenwriting with AI

Two LMU students discuss a project while sitting in front of their computers.

Summer 2027

Session Dates: June 20 - July 2, 2027

Location: On-Campus

A hands-on intensive exploring the future of entertainment through AI-powered storytelling.

Course Description

This two-week intensive explores the intersection of storytelling, technology and the rapidly changing entertainment industry. Students will take an original idea from concept through development, writing, production, marketing, and distribution. Along the way, they’ll use AI and emerging creative tools to develop characters and worlds, write and revise material, create a visual proof of concept, and explore how today’s creators are building audiences and distributing content across social media and the creator economy.

By the end of the course, students will leave with an original project and a strategy for getting it into the world.

  • "Producing and Screenwriting with AI" is a residential program on LMU's Los Angeles-area campus. There are no commuter options at this time - all participants are required to live on campus for the duration of their program.
